It is sad that these days being a reasonable person has become unpopular. I see people who are populist as emotionally incontinent, naive, and simple minded.
Things I believe in:
- Against protectionism: we shouldn't have tariffs for imports or other barrier and capital should be allowed to flow freely
- Taxes should be as low as possible
- There should be as little business regulation as possible
- Also, minimum wage should be low, rent control shouldn't exist, anti-short-term rental laws shouldn't exist, no paid family leave, and so forth.
- Strong believer in the first and second amendment
- Pro immigration (more specifically, pro merit-based legal immigration and anti illegal immigration)
- Pro LGBT
- Pro higher education and technology: Can't stand the Boko Haram people and luddites that have popped up in the last 10 years in the US
- Against covid lockdowns, vaccine mandates, and covid payments, but vaccines are good for you and you should take them.
- January 6thers tried to overthrow the government and all those insurrectionists should go to prison for a long time
- Pro foreign intervention/ Anti-isolationist: America is the one indispensable nation standing up for democracy, freedom, western values, and the rule of law. It should continue to spread its values, however possible, around the world.
- I love the FBI, CIA, NSA, and all federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies
- We should send military aid to Ukraine because sovereignty has to mean something and Russia must be kept weak, but we shouldn't send military aid to Israel only because they are very rich and they are fighting an extremely small and weak enemy
- Most politicians are good smart people, trying to make America a better place. Additionally, being a poor American means you live like multi-millionaire compared to people from 70 years ago or even millionaires in other countries. Americans should be grateful for what they have, look inward for their shortcomings, and stop blaming politicians.
