By any metric you can think of, a politician is better than a regular person. The only reason people deny this is because they are sheep/NPC and they have all been programmed to think "politician bad".

Compared to the average person, the average politician got into elite colleges, have advanced degrees, served in the military and elite units in the military, got high profile jobs, ran immensely successful business/made lots of money, are more socially competent (hence why they won), are better looking, and on and on.

People cannot acknowledge this because of their own narcissism, thinking, "a lying weasel politician can't be better than me." Except that, they are. They are better than you (and me) in every way possible. The system is not rigged. It's 100% meritorious. It's just that they have more merit than you. They are better than you at life. They won at life.
