Would you rather be born as a randomly chosen West African or a randomly chosen African American? I don't think its even close. I would happily have my great great great great grandparents, who I have no actual connection to, be enslaved than me live in the third world hell hole that is Africa. I have no doubt that almost every West African today would rather be born as an African American, than be in their current position.

The average salary for an African American is $42k/year. The average salary for a West African today is approximately $6k/year.

West Africans face twice as much violent crime and four times as much murders than Americans.

Average life expectancy for African American is 75. For West Africans its 50.

African Americans get access to tons of welfare programs that West Africans don't have access to, such as free high quality healthcare (medicaid), section 8 housing (way better than average homes in West Africa), SNAP (food stamps), energy bill subsidies (LIHEAP), SSI, unemployment, and more.

African Americans get way better teachers, schools, and infrastructure than their West African counterparts.

If an African American performs in the top 50% of the population in high school, they have an extremely high chance of getting into Harvard.

West Africa barely has infrastructure and dirt road. America does not. Poverty, poor infant mortality, and disease is rife in West Africa. It is not in America.
